History ::Hestia is a very old and mysterious being, usually living alone ina forest or wooded area, she has very few contacts with other beings besides animal. Though she is old she appears very young those who are lucky enough to gaze upon her face. Hestia was actually born, Maria Garriner, and as a little girl her mother thought her the most beautiful child and so she veiled her face. When the death of her mother came via towns man strapping her down and burning her at the stake. Hestia summoned the will of a demon to stop them. This demon however was one she could not control and the Demon took her mothers and the souls of all the villagers as payment.After this Maria changed her name to Hestia and moved from the forsaken village to a place where she settled down and put up shop as a perfume salon. She had lived here a year before she met and fell inlove with a butchers son and she had thought that she would be happy.
On a full moon night her happiness ended. Haveing built a cottage and moved into the forest. Both her and her husband lived quiet peacefully, her husband being a huntsman, tracked a white and red stag to the edges of a lake. haveing shot the beast, He went to retrieve it only to be impaled by one of its sharp antlers. It had turned out that the stag was a spirit and had now cursed the Huntsman for attempting to kill him. When Hestia found her husband laying dead with the stag she took him back to the cottage and in the garden. As she tried to revive him the stag approached the gate andtold her the terms of the curse.
"when you learn to love another,
he shall be released from his curse,
but for now he shall remain apart of your garden,
and each day that you do not love
the garden shall wither and die,
Thou once every three years when the last ray of sun vanishes
He shall return to you for one night."
And with that her husbands body took the form of a rose bush. Hestia was faced with a choice. Find another to love and release her husband from his curse. Or remain faithful and watch as her garden died,with the prospect of him returning vanishing. But soon Hestia found out that Her garden would be able to survive off the blood of human men. and so each month on the full moon she lured a man into her garden and killed him feeding her husband and assuring he survives. This is how she lives.
