Prologue June 16, 1916 I ran through the frozen court yard to escape the Eclipse, my feet sticking to the ground with every step I took. I looked frantically around, though I have lived here all my life I have never been in this part of the estate, so I didn’t know where to go. I could hear the eclipse approaching faster then any human could possibly. I kept running hitting the tree branches on my way through, my foot caught on a root and I tumbled down to the ground. My dress caught on a twig when I stood up, which in turn made me lean over to try to unwind it. I looked up to see that where I was hiding was the perfect place to watch the eclipse approach. From where I was watching I saw that the eclipse looked like a band of human thieves. Except that they had inhuman strength and senses. I watch closely and held my breath. Two Eclipses arrived with fresh slain prey slung over there shoulder. I didn’t think that they knew I was here and if they had found out I would have been in a lot of trouble so I sat still and focused on what they were doing. They set the prey down next to a cart that I hadn’t noticed when I was running through the trees. Another Eclipse inside the cart took the prey and slid it into the cart. I could hear them start to speak to each other and their words were the same as us humans. “Borlom How many this trip?” The man named Borlom looked up and started to answer but then stopped abruptly in the middle of his sentence. “What’s wrong?” The man dropped the young prey and looked strait at the bush that I was hiding behind. “Were no longer alone Snerf.” I started to back up but then realized to my horror that I had backed myself into a wall without even realizing it. I tried to over come and not scream but my fear escaped my mouth and let out a little scream. “Barlon, Fettes, Sparks. That bush!” The man named Borlom shouted. I watched as the eclipse grew closer and closer to me. I did the only thing my mind was telling me to do. I ran. The Eclipse saw me escape out of the other side of the bush and into the forest. I ran and ran. The trees passing by me so fast that I didn’t know where I was or what I was getting my self into. I looked behind me the Eclipse were close behind. I turned back to face forward and saw that I was at the edge of a cliff. I stopped my self as I was about to go off the edge. I turned around to face the Eclipse and saw that they had also stopped. I was fear struck and wasn’t thinking strait when I did what any insane person was to do. I jumped off into the pond beneath. As I was going down I herd the Eclipse say that I was not going to live through the fall and if I did that they should do something called hyper freeze. Then I hit the water. The water felt as if a thousand needles were puncturing my skin. I hit the bottom and noticed that I could still move. I stream of faith hit me as I started to head towards the top. I smiled as I was about to hit the top of the pond. I did it I escaped the Eclipse. But to my horror as I hit the top of the pond it was pure Ice. Around me was also freezing I couldn’t move! I was being frozen alive. I tried screaming and shouting but it was taking up my air supply. I felt my self slowly going under the water losing conciseness. I looked up and saw a bright light. Then every thing went black.

September 3, 2027 “Hey Jake wait up!” A young women about the age of 21 ran down the hall of research lab 2. Jake Hakae age 25 works as a technician in the research facility he was always working and had no time to do anything else. He had short black hair and green eyes. He was 6’3 and had an athletic build. He was originally from Tokyo Japan. His mother and Father still living there. He moved to the states when he turned 21. His mother was ill but wished him luck on his way. Jake turned around to face his co-worker. “Oh hey Jessica. How’s it going?” Jessica as a 19 year old gymnast, she won 6 gold’s and 3 silver, by the age of 20 she destroyed her ankle in a freak flip accident. Now the age of 21 she kept her perfect figure, she had blond hair and blue eyes she was 5’10”. Every one wondered why she didn’t go to be a modal instead of a scientist after her accident. Jessica went to the tanning salon three times a week so she was nice and tanned. Jessica smiled and put her hand on Jakes and pointed to the TV. The truth was that she would take any chance to touch Jake. “Look they found something in the Lotus Lake in Tokyo! They say it’s a girl that has been frozen in the lake for over 700 years! Guess what else?” Jake shrugged his shoulders. “They are bringing her here so we can do the tests on her body! Can you believe that?” Jake smiled turned to look at the door. “Why would they bring her here to America why don’t they just do tests on her there in Tokyo? There technology there is ten times better then ours over here!” Jessica stared at Jake and Grinned. “Why do you care? Its better for us any way don’t you think?” Jake shook out of his own world and smiled. “Of course I’m sorry.” He put on one of his fake smiles and turned to leave. “I will see you tomorrow.” Jessica nodded and watched as he walked out of the building. O_o Jake walked into his Suite on the 33rd floor of the Hilton Hotel. He’d been staying there since the company he worked for had paid for it. He found it quiet and relaxing. He’d ran into quite a few famous people, but then again he was sorta famous himself. He laid on the bottom of his Bed, it was a little messy, since he told the maids not to go into his room. He closed his eyes and waited for the night to fall over his eyes. But to night was going to be different then the other nights that he had attempted to sleep. A calm breeze that the ocean brought in through the window put Jake to sleep almost instantly. The dream he had that night, was about a tunnel that was a bit foggy but you could see through it. There was a figure at the tunnel but he couldn’t tell who. Before the dream ended the figure screamed his name. Jake was awoken suddenly by the sound of his cell phone. He sat up and looked around. The cell phone was ringing but he couldn’t tell from where. He finally found it underneath his pillow. “H-hello?” There was a little static on the other end but then he made out who it was. “Oh Jake you answered! I‘m glad.” It was Jessica. “Hey Jessica what’s up.” Jake suppressed his yawn. “Did I wake you?” Jake shook his head then realized that she couldn’t see him, he didn’t have the video phone plugged in. “Ah no you didn’t.” Jessica sighed. “Really Jake you need to work on your lying! Any way I hope you don’t mind my calling I got your number from Autumn. I was told to call you and tell you that we are having an early meeting on the placing of the Mystery girl they found yesterday!” Jake looked at the clock on the bedside table and read 12:56pm. “Why didn’t anyone wake me earlier!” Jessica gasped at the sudden out burst. “Sorry, I meant to ask why didn’t anyone ring my room?” Jessica started to laugh. “Don’t worry about it! Your not late or anything I just thought you wanted to know that it was planned to happen around 3:00pm so you have time!” Jake sighed with relief.
