He was their only child and was raised knowing both the Muggle world and the Wizarding world. His parents prepared him for Hogwarts, but also the possibility that he wouldn't have magic and would continue with his Muggle schooling. Liam really hoped he was magical though. On his eleventh birthday, thankfully, he did receive his Hogwarts letter. Both his parents brought him to London to go shopping at Diagon Alley.xxx𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈xxxxxxLiam's sensitive nature and his care for plants and animals saw him Sorted into Hufflepuff and that year he joined both the Art Club and the Creature Appreciation Club. As he progressed through school, he made many friends. When it came to school work, Liam did decently well, though he struggled with a few classes. On his O.W.L.s, he managed to secure all passing grades, though he intended to drop a few classes moving forward. Progressing on to N.E.W.T. level classes, Liam did well enough, earning passing grades on all his exams.
xxx𝒜𝒹𝓊𝓁𝓉𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxxxxxAfter graduation, Liam worked for a few years at a local branch of a major chain store to save up some money in order to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a photojournalist. His plan was to document a trip through the Pacific Northwest of the United States and Canada. Something about the mystery of that region had attracted his fancy. After working for a few years, he was finally able to pursue his dream. As a young man, he headed off to start documenting his journey. Through the use of an online blog and routine posting, he eventually attracted the attention of some big names in the industry. However, his dream would be tragically cut short. One stormy night, there was a rustling outside his tent that drew his attention. He gathered his rain equipment and headed outside to check it out and soon discovered a rather large wolf rummaging through his food. Before he knew what was happening, he was running through the woods from the wolf. Eventually it caught up to him and chomped onto his side. In the ensuing fight, Liam burned the wolf's face with magic and it released him before fleeing into the woods.
xxxLeft to bleed in the woods, Liam did his best to manage the wound, finally submitting to the injury and passing out. He awoke a few days later in the house of a Native American who had patched up his side, but the older man informed him that Liam was no longer human and that the wolf had actually been a werewolf. Once he was strong enough to travel again, Liam returned home to Ireland and moved back in with his parents. Living as a registered werewolf was tough on him and he abandoned his dream, returning to working part time at Tesco.
