โ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ช๐ ๐๐! I had a lot of fun preparing for the possibility of competing in the finale. Challenge 11 really got my gears turning, and when the idea of creating looks centered around early motherhood dawned on me, I became genuinely excited.
Eager to test the concept, I originally assembled different lineup of models. That first version allowed me to explore the idea freely and became the foundation for the looks that ultimately carried through to the end. If I hadnโt been chosen, I still would have shared that original lineup here, but Iโm so glad I got the opportunity to work with several models I hadnโt even considered originally, or had made very different looks for in the past.
That led to a new challenge: deciding which model would wear which look. This wasnโt easy, since each outfit relied on specific details like hair length or silhouette. Finding the right match really mattered, and in the end, it pushed the designs further than I expected. Little details started to appear that honestly werenโt there before.
At first, I wasnโt even sure I could pull it off. I tried Kiana in four different looks before realizing that the bow look didnโt just suit her โ it felt right. The touch of vitiligo on her hand ended up being an especially meaningful detail.
Marilou was originally placed in a bench scene, and while it was beautiful, it didnโt quite fit this lineup. Kiana even tried the bench as well, but it still wasnโt giving me the balance I wanted overall. The park look, on the other hand, turned out to be something only Marilou could really wear. Her up-do allowed the lace panel on the back of the shirt to show, and thatโs when a funny little technical limitation led to a narrative realization. Little Sprout only allows you to change the skin tone of the arms, and suddenly it clicked. This wasnโt just a day in the sun. It was a play-date!
Tamara was a natural fit for the wool housecoat. Her hair length was perfect for hiding the top of the bow that creates the ruffles on the back, and that detail ended up working exactly the way Iโd hoped. In fact, the hair bow even suits her slightly better than it did Mathilde due to the drape of her hair.
In the end, I really love what these looks grew into. But Iโll let you decide for yourselfโฆ

Since this competition was being judged on the fashion line as a whole I wanted to creat a cohesive look, so I chose to leave out some details that I originally enjoyed in the background. These details are nice for individual looks, yet I even found they could at times be too busy and distract from the outfit on display.

And finally, I want to briefly touch on one critique that came up more than once โ that my collection wasnโt quite โfashionโ enough.
I knew from the start that centering my line around early motherhood would be a risk. My vision of momcore leans toward comfort, realism, and lived-in beauty rather than dramatic spectacle. But I felt deeply connected to the theme, and I chose to follow that instinct.
Every look was still crafted with technical intention and care, and Iโm genuinely proud of what I created. (Truthfully, these models are far more fashionable than I am โ ha.แ)
At the end of the day, Iโm grateful for the thoughtful critiques and the different perspectives shared. Itโs fascinating how one collection can be experienced so differently depending on who is viewing it. If this cycle taught me anything, itโs that the most meaningful work comes from staying true to yourself.
