Tiger Hat made his way into his private locker room - perhaps the only perk left of being in Cartwright Strong Style - and slammed the door behind him. Fresh off of yet another loss, he was feeling utterly disillusioned with the trajectory of his career. Apex was stood tall, and he had doubts whether that would change in the near future. He aggressively opened his locker, shoving his bag inside it, and slamming it shut.

As he slammed it shut, a sealed envelope fluttered to the ground, being expelled from the gaps in the locker door. Somebody had placed it carefully inside, hoping Tiger would notice it. On the front, in cursive, was "Dear Tiger," followed by a heart. Just from the handwriting he knew who it was; it was Tiger Girl.

'Writing to mock me?' Tiger felt guilty over his initial reaction, immediately regressing in his thoughts. She was a dear friend, and he knew it. He couldn't let his sour mood put a cloud over that.

Running his index finger along the seam of the paper, he opened the envelope, revealing a letter inside. He unfurled it, and read it to himself.

"Dear Tiger,

I'm sorry that things aren't going your way lately. I know you're going through alot. But remain hopeful!! Remember how far you have come, and remember that there are those of us that still believe in Tiger-san.

I've prepared something for you. Something to help you remember who you once were. See the address below - meet me there next week. There's somebody who wants to meet you!

Love ya, you dumb cat,

TG <3"

Underneath, scrawled as neatly as the letter, was an address. It took Tiger by surprise; he couldn't think of anybody who would want to meet him. He opened his locker, gently this time, and placed the letter in his bag. He sighed gently, happy in the knowledge that at least one person still believed in him - even if he didn't believe in himself. With a renewed determination, he headed out, ready to face tonight's challenge.
