Hi.

In my one of my previous job, the company was suddenly low staffed in a job position. So, The manager sent me there to fill the missing spot, otherwise the service would be too slow.

I didn't get a raise. That job was paid higher than mine. The manager quickly showed me what to do. The other people that was doing that job position thought that I wasn't good at it, because I got to do their job with little training.
Yes, I did mistake sometimes in that ''new job''.
One women even said, all the mistakes I see are always yours.

I don't remember how many weeks I was working in that new job position (without getting a raise).

Until my manager hired 4 new people , trained them, they were more paid than me . 2 had previous experiences and 2 were freshly graduate from university with no experience.

At first, they respected me because they are newer employee than me and thought I was doing their job... and that I have seniority.

I quit that job because they looked down on me and kept saying how bad I was when I was filling the job position when they were low staffed. Because they were new , they thought my position was better than them until they realize I'm a lower rank.

I bumped to one of them years later in a restaurant. She ignored me.

I had other reason to quit that job too, because the company didn't give me a permanent position anyways.

Sometimes, I think, should I have told the manager that my coworker were looking down on me and were mean to me ? Would my work be more pleasant ?

I had other jobs after that I could also tell you guys what unfair stuff happened there but I think it would get too long.

Even if you told your boss that the other employees were treating you poorly there is nothing that he could really do. Just leaving that job and move on to a job that makes you happy. Being stuck in a job where you are miserable is terrible. I hope you find a place where you are happy

This right here, the pecking order in a workplace can be brutal and might break your spirit in a jiffy but don't let it put you down. Even though more often than not this might happen it's not the norm and some superiors do listen and act accordingly just hang in there and keep your wits sharp.
