I am so stoked, I wanted to post about this.

I just found some ski boots for super cheap at a secondhand store.
This past Valentine's day, my boyfriend took me skiing for the first time. I loved it and want to do more skiing. The rental boots were so tight on my calves, it was really painful, though. I knew I'd have to get my own ski boots. I'm surprised that I found ski boots that fit me in the calves -- and for such a steal! I am so excited to be able to ski more -- comfortably!

Snow skiing is the best! I hope you get to try it sometime.


I used to want so badly to be able to roller skate (particularly jam skating and roller derby)... but I have s**t balance. I was a little nervous about trying snow skiing because of that, even though I'd wanted to. Snow skiing doesn't hurt when you fall down. It is so much fun, truly.

There's a ski resort fairly close to where I live, so it'll be convenient to go skiing several times throughout the winter. When my boyfriend (who is good at skiing) took me for Valentine's day, it was the best Valentine's day! He was really patient with teaching me how to ski, and I even got off the beginner bunny slope and did the easy slope a couple of times. I fell down on the easy slope a lot, but for the first time skiing I did pretty well.

Finding good boots like that is so rare. I find them but never in a size that works.
