It costs money to change a name officially . Do you like your real name ? Do you want to change it ?
I wanted to make my first name shorter but it is not worth spending money on that and going through the process to redo all official documents like passport, birth certificate ...,

if i could afford to , i would change mine for sure
No I do not like my name at all. It cost too much and the hassle of changing it then changing everything else is not worth it.

Can confirm. I changed my first and middles names as part of my transition (I'm nonbinary), and the cost was the easiest part. Everything else (changing government and medical records, having to get fingerprints done at the police station, etc.) was the difficult part. It's been almost three years now, and I'm still finding forms and accounts that are registered under my birth-name. It's intense. x_x
I actually don't hate my birth-name, though. The reason I changed it to my nickname (Elly, which is where my username comes from) is because being called by my birth-name triggers my dysphoria, and I couldn't just go by Elly because I have to use my legal name in a lot of settings (medical stuff, government forms, bills, that sort of thing). I don't regret changing it at all. It's like a weight was lifted off of me. heart

I like my name Carolyn. I also go by Carol and several nick names. Most of my friends refer to me as mama bear. If you don't like your name just go by a nick name.
I actually love my real First name. I don't care much for my last name, nor my husbands last name. Which is why I still have my maiden lol.
I always felt more confident when stating my real name. My biggest issues has always been that I feel like I am not mature enough for it.

I like my real name well enough but when I was in school there were too many girls named Mary in my schoolroflI wouldn't change it for the world though, it's too much of a hassle.
