Romeo, Juliet, Serenity
“Daughter, I’ll care for you,
Just as if a rose needs thorn.”
Said Romeo to their baby newborn.
Juliet had smiled softly.
“Dear child, dear Serenity,
You are safe, as we are one.”
Then the couple kissed,
Serenity cried for first time,
And Juliet rocked her baby softly.
Then the sun rose, it was six AM.
The child slept in Mother Dearest’s arms.
But then a dog paced back and fourth,
Watching over Mother Dearest, Father Kind,
And the couple’s newborn daughter Serenity.
All is well, all was well,
And all shall always be well.
Always and never not.
