Well, if your friends don't care, then you can't really say they were really your friends... And toe nails will grow back... and you'll make new friends.. maybe.

I dunno really...
Did you expect everyone to break down in to emotionally crippled, quivering wrecks at the news that you were leaving?
I mean...It's not like you're going to die...
I'd probably add another poll option..."Actually wanting your friends to be upset"...Then vote for that...

Well...What am I supposed to say?
"Aww...Poor baby...Have a cookie.." ?
It's not my fault her friends don't like her as much as she wants, is it?

With the third scenario I think it would depend if it was because they were more acquaintances than friends or if they just knew that we'd still hang out and stuff, just not through school...

Don't let it get to you. Friendships you make in highschool aren't meant to last. Though the ones that do, that's great. But more than likely most of the friends you made in highschool will move on right after, you'll loose contact, etc.
I mean hey, I lost contact with a great friend when she moved. Now she has a bf, a life of her own, etc. At first I felt sad but then I had to realize life goes on.
I really hope that my newest bff doesn't let me down though. She's supposed to be back yet she hasn't called or anything.

DM is right. Most of the friendships out of high school don't last because most people go off to different schools & you end up seperated/unable to hang out as much.
I left high school with 3 best friends & now a year later, only have one. But ya know, college = new good friends. =D

I left my dad and brother after spending the year after katrina in texas, moved out on my own, got a job, all at sixteen, just to come back to my high school and graduate with my best friend. It's been over a year since I've graduated and I hardly ever see or speak to my friend anymore.
