Well, we got really strong winds here, too. fun stuff, I'll say. Took me and extra 30 minutes to get to my girlfriends house than what it normally does because 4 of the dirt roads out of my house were blocked becuase of power lines, trees, or rain. Oh well, it was awesome that night, though, XD. The house was shaking terribly, and there was lightning everywhere, XD. Fun stuff, I must say.

Ack! Lucky! About the sign, not the evil hurricane...It's been hitting up the center lately, hasn't it? All the East Coast has been getting seems to be rain, rain, and dear god is that RAIN... stare Well, as bad as the hurricanes are proving to be, at least we haven't tried some of the experimental ideas to STOP the hurricanes....Hey, let's burn off tons of coal into the air and release liquid nitrogen into the atmosphere to disappate the winds! Oh, don't worry...TOTALLY environmentally friendly....o.O;; I really want to know where the weather people buy their weed, cuz that is some special stuff there...

Here's the crappy thing about Ike.
I currently live in San Antonio, roughly 2-3 hours drive from Houston... Give or take 200 miles.
WE GOT NOTHING THE ENTIRE TIME IKE WAS ROLLING ABOUT. I mean NOTHING. No high winds, no devastating rain. We got NO rain, NO wind... Not even a CLOUD.
And INDIANA got more than we did?
...
Piss...
I didn't want to go to work! D:

"I couldn't save her... I know she will die, But please, if I could only tell her goodbye. All I want is just one more day... That morning in May...
So it's okay to run them down if you're only driving 5 mph? *Takes out chainsaw and attaches it to bike* ...I've fought reptilian monsters, I've crossed a bloody sea, Just to meet you here And now I'm coming home, my dear."

blaugh lol, I live in Houston, and just got power back today...after a week and a half of not that bad weather. Sleeping was a bit hard with the heat though...
The night Ike hit, my family was out partying with the neighbors until it was so windy, they could barely make it across the yard. xd
But school's been cancelled the entire time, which has been good to relax, but will suck major when I'm still in school in June. Uh, we're gonna be so behind on everything, it's not even funny. gonk
Dur, hurricanes always turn north, because of the air currents over Texas and Gulf. That's why San Antonio hardly ever gets a hurricane, while Indiana just did.

Indiana (my part of Indiana anyways which is Southern) has never really gotten hit by hurricanes that have hit the gulf. All we have really gotten was a bit of rain but that's about it. This is the first time it's ever really hit us.

M i n a k o D= The heck?! I thought for sure that San Antonio would get hit by Ike...
...That's so weird xDD I thought we at least would have gotten the tail end, but we didn't. San Antonio is too far in land to actually get hit... Which is odd because Laredo gets hit more often than San Antonio... But whatever... Sucks. neutral
@Grim: Ike raeped the whole North East side of Texas. xd
@SmilingRain: My boyfriend's family lives in Houston and got hit really bad. Ha ha. His friend's dad is also a roofer.. so.. Got roof damage? Call that guy! biggrin

rofl Taking signs. Priceless. well at least you'll have memories to look back on, though i doubt anyone would want to remember any of this. ....but being serious now, It's horrible that all this is happening. Hurricanes are no joke. It's kinda gets you worried 'cause you don't always know where one is going to hit but i guess that's why they has procedures when stuff like this occurs.
