Cyrus makes the most of his opening, smacking The Boss with a forearm that rocks his head back and pushing him through the top and middle ropes to the floor!

With Cart going over the top rope, the King of Beasts steps out onto the apron. Squaring up the Boss, Cyrus prepares to leap at him with a diving double axe handle!

Cyrus has a case of The Macho Madness, as he decides to dive towards Cartwright with both hands clasped together, bringing them down on to his back with epic force that drops Cartwright to his knees in pain!
Mister Mirage appears at the arena entrance, the crowd beginning to boo his appearance when they notice the silent and sinister shadowy figure!
JR: "Mirage shouldn't be out here."
King: "He isn't doing anything wrong, JR!
Mirage is just observing the match like the rest of us!
Encouraging his boss, just like I do!"

After dropping the Boss to his knees, Cyrus glanced around as he heard the boos. Finally, glancing up at the shrouded figure of the Mysterious Stranger standing on the stage. Quickly turning his attention back to Cart, the Lion would suddenly shotgun a kick towards his opponent's chest, looking to keep him out of the way.

Cyrus appears to be in two minds for a moment as to what to do next, but a decision is made as he charges towards Cartwright, striking his chest with both feet that drives him in to the nearby steel barricade!
This seems to upset Mister Mirage, who slowly and menacingly begins to walk down the ramp!

The Lion sat up after hearing a satisfying thunk from the crowd barricade. Pulling himself back to his feet, he was ready to finally confront the man from the mirror. He wouldn't wait all day for Mirage to get to him, as he immediately sprinting in to close the gap and greet him with fists!

Mister Mirage watches as Cyrus starts to quickly approach him, tightening his gloves as he prepares to fight his former teammate.
But what is this?!
The sinister one starts to back away to create a longer distance, then refuses to fight back as Cyrus strikes him with right hands!
JR: "Get him Cyrus!
That man stabbed you in the back after all those years together!"
King: "You're supposed to remain unbiased, JR!"
While this is happening, the referee has been counting both Cartwright and Cyrus out.
At the count of eight, The Boss drags himself under the bottom rope and in to the ring!
Has this been Mirage's plan?

The King of Beasts didn't halt his attacks on Mirage as the referee called for a fall. He had no interest in continuing the match with the boss. Cyrus continued to advance at the Specter, throwing fists, with no signs of relenting.

Cyrus' hate for Mister Mirage, a man who he treated like family, has surpassed the hate that he has for his boss, as he chooses to continue the fight with the shadowy figure!
Mister Mirage is clearly holding back, refusing to raise a hand towards Cyrus, as he backs out of the arena entrance with Cyrus still in pursuit!
The crowd encourages Cyrus to have his revenge on Mister Mirage, while Cartwright casually reminds the referee to keep those count-outs coming, now that he is safe in the ring!
