Drako is shown walking down the hall, already dressed to compete, his new t-shirt taking the place of his customary vest. Once again, Michael Cole is waiting to stop him for comments.
Cole: Drako, tonight is a big night as you challenge for the WWFG Intercontinental championship, one of the very few titles during your tenure here that you've never won in your illustrious career so far. Bison had some strong words for you earlier tonight.
Drako nods, as he'd watched Bison's segment. "I heard what he said, and what he said made a lot of sense. Almost two years ago, Bison was the challenger to my World Heavyweight championship. It was my second run as the champ, an unexpected one given the fact that Cartwright hates me more than anyone. Bison isn't a little man. You've seen him. That is a big son of a b***h. And now, he's got gold. He's got gold that I've challenged for but management at the time was the shits and I didn't get to hold. Naturally, I want it. But he mentioned another champion, and I know you've got a question for me."
Cole: Now that you mention it, we ended Summerslam with an interesting image, you fighting off the new World Heavyweight champion to save the man that beat you for that very title last year at Survivor. What prompted that?
Drako sighs. "It's not that hard. See, the Damones and Fusions don't like each other. Frankly, we hate each other. But I have a score to settle with Avari and Omen got in the way of that. Now, to be clear, him beating Avari for the title wasn't an issue. See, I can come back and take that whenever I want to. Fact is, there isn't a man on the roster that can do what I did as champion. Omen is another big son of a b***h, but he just can't take me on my worst day. And make no mistake, I've got my eye on him. But tonight, Bison made another point. He's the proven champion. His dominance is established. He's the man to beat. So tonight, I'm gonna go into that ring and do what I do best. I'm going out there and showing Bison that as big and as bad as he is, the Soaring Dragon is always the predator and Bison is the prey."
Cole: What about his closing remarks warning you to take the night off or you might find yourself benched?
Drako looks into the camera for his response. "There ain't a man alive that can bench me if I don't want to be. I took time off after Survivor Series because I wanted to, not because I couldn't come right back and show Avari the reason why his father only ever beat me once. Even injured, I was outwrestling this entire roster. Now, I'm at 100 percent. If there's one thing this Dragon loves, it's gold. He's got it, I want it, and just like that Survivor Series, I'm going to beat him for it. Oh, and Bison, I'm not Rex. If I have to kill you to take it, that last six months of my run as World Heavyweight champion should tell you, I've got no problem with that."
