The Raven knew,
Far from his roost
That the wolf was tried
By songless truths
He didn't mind
When light would dim
When his eyes played tricks
And reality thinned
He didn't flinch
When her shadow shifts
Or the ice that gripped
Against every inch
He didn't care,
If spring would bloom
Or death would loom
He wouldn't run
The Raven knew

Description:
I was once writing poetry with someone I loved dearly, we created these with the idea that one of us was the raven and the other the wolf. It was fun while it lasted, but as fake as everything else.
I will post my own poems from that time here.
This poem follows the journey of a raven who kept having dreams or nightmares of a wolf that was trapped, and so convinced by his dream he flew out night and day to find the wolf. - Date: 05/27/2024
