The razor lays there, it lays there.
On the floor, by the door, sharp with lust.
It's not long before you'll start to break.
And so will your skin, with blood flowing free.
You're stronger than this, so much stronger than this.
Scars in places past speak louder than before,
they scream for you, they ache for it:
The sweet sound of flesh ripping.
You want to bleed, you want to feel.
Just one more time to relieve the pain.
You're stronger than this, so much stronger than this.
But you know it won't last, the feeling will cease.
It's just a matter of time before you get past it.
Even though it might seem good, all it does is bring pain.
If you started, you can stop. I'll be there every step,
picking you up and setting you down when need be.
You're stronger than this, so much stronger than this.

- Title: Stronger Than This.
- Artist: Gwennoryth
- Description: This is a poem I wrote for a dear friend of mine who recently relapsed back into his self-injuring. Please be constructive with criticism and not too harsh, as this was difficult to write and means a lot to me. Thank you!
