    The annoying chirp

    Slowly consciousness flows in
    The fog yields from your mind but only to confess the often trudged path

    As I grapple the cold metallic knob I pause, think
    The depression encumbers me as I pull
    With a burst of chill so comes the thought of what life use to be

    Trudging through the crystalline path
    Through the wisping obscurity and shrieking claws of mist

    The hypnotic hum, the blurring streets
    And I think upon this path
    This path so like a broken record.
