A Black Lake
A black lake as chill as deep as wide
Fear emerges from inside
I try but yet I cannot hide
The horror that it left behind
I see my graveyard in its depths
A fate that I will not accept
In this black lake
The horrors come from inside
I cannot run, I cannot hide
Although in misty depth it lie
A memory unfounded
Oh save me from this petty fear
So useless and not wanted here
A part of me not held dear
Fear of a large black lake

Description:
Found some of old poetry I had written in junior high the other day and thought I would submit some of them for review.
I wrote this one when I was is sixth grade. At the time I had this major phobia of lakes and we just happened to be on a family vacation at Lake Havasu.
Anyway please enjoy!
P.S This was one of my first attempts at poetry so I realize my form isn’t exactly correct.
