She looks and cries for her reflection,
A mirage, a recollection.
Cold as ice and strong as stone,
She faced her demons all alone.
Fat and thin she thought she knew,
Starving was what she should do,
But her broken mirror shows a broken truth,
Of shattered dreams and shattered youth.

- I really like it. The first two lines are amazing. I don't think that the line, "Starving was what she should do." makes a ton of sense. I understand why it is there, but I don't really think that it has the right word choice.

O my goodness! I know how it feels to be in this situations perfectly. This is a poem that is "short and sweet." I do hate that saying terribly. But this is pretty short and gets to the point instantly. 5/5. Good job darling. smile

- She was my best friend and it was sad to see her wasting away like that. At some point her habits rubbed off on me but it turns out I just love chocolate to much. Anyway thanks for the comment.

- Oh my. Anorexia is such a terrible thing, Your poem expresses so much emotion. How do you know the feelings so well? You couldn't know all that just by watching her. But, either way hun, 5 stars smile
