    Here's why they are gree,
    There are these things that look like a bean.
    They're called chlorophll.
    And that's for real
    'Tis also how they eat.
    I find it quite neat.
    They get it from sun.
    Bet you didn't know that, hun.
    They absorb it.
    It can all pretty much fit.

    'Tiz how they grow.
    Some tall to sway too and frow.
    All they need is some vascular tissue.
    If they don't got it, it's no big issue.
    They just grow wide.
    Almost as if to glide.
    They are easy to toss
    Because it's pretty much moss.
