• To be so alone,
    In a sea of people...
    Always seemed impossible to me.
    But I soon learned,
    That I had the ability to drown in a crowd.
    I gasped for air,
    And struggled to breathe.
    Then loneliness barred down on me,
    Dragging deeper in the sea.
    Panic takes over all my sense and mind.
    But I refuse to let them see me cry.
    I try to join in, I try to smile,
    But on the inside I have drowned.
    I was tied down with loneliness as I began to drown,
    And loneliness found me somehow in a sea of people.
