THINGS FORGRANTED
_o0BlueFheiry0o_
Gaze at those things forgranted
those lazy fluffy clouds passing by
at the clear, calming sky
every blade of grasses by the meadow
and how the lily of the valley bent low
those lonely birds now flying in company
and how the gentle flowing river comes to the sea
Listen to those things forgranted
the busy chatters of the city streets
and the sweet sound of silence fleets
that voice of a person so special
calling your name and speaking of trivial
at the symphony of the facets of nature
unnoticed by the minute, forgetting its treasure
Smell those things forgranted
that salty ocean breeze, fragrance of snow
this newly budding tulips always bowing low
or the fresh scent of the morning dew
at dawnbreak which was shared by me and you
those newly cut lawn and the rain drops' mist
here at the moment and tomorrow shall be missed
Taste those things forgranted
that bitterness of the pungent food set aside
and the sweetness of the smile of a child
the void of emptiness and solitude
and the spices of enjoying a multitude
that dried tears and newfound hope
if cherished today, for a meantime to cope
Touch those things forgranted
that warmth of a mother's embrace
once felt, never lost nor can erase
this soft open hand of a friend forever giving
asking nothing in return, even in scorn enduring
those clashes and whips of a cruel life
of wounds unhealed, hidden in strife
Lavish on these things forgranted
Life is as brief as we wanted it
Gaze at a star, dream with eyes of hope
Listen to the soul of your heart, be silent
Smell the fragrance of daily joy, and share a smile
Taste every good fleeting opportunity, take chance
Touch people's heart, and feel your heart too
Life can be as long as we wanted it to
The moment we lavish on those things forgranted, too.

- Use every sense to live life and bring across the emotions of a poem without a doubt. Loved the ending the way you had a line for each one.
