By creating a bond between us
And allowing it to expand
I set up my own destruction
And place the detonator in your hand
Because once that bond is established
You have greater power than I
And if you choose to use it
I will most surly die
It’s this fear that has left me together,
Not yet broken into shards
But it’s this fear that has made me weaken
like a house of playing cards
And I’m not quite sure which is worse;
The experience or the fear
Because while I’m not yet damaged
I’m more lonely than I appear
It’s the solitude that has made me bitter
And the bitterness that’s saved my soul,
By hating the entire population
I can give it up as a whole
And I find it to be less painful
To sit in solitude until I drown
Than to give someone such great power
And then let them cut me down

- Wow really good. Souds like something I would write but better. Great rhyming and rhythm.

- Love. It always gets the best of us. I echo your sentiments...such a lovely, macabre poem. 5/5
