The Mask

Get out of bed, and wear the mask
Hide away yourself
Put on a show
Everyone is watching you
But they don't know what happens behind the scenes
This one-man act is getting old
Throw off the mask
There is nothing underneath
Pitiful Soul
You lost yourself

Henoros; True, it would be nice if it had a rhyming scheme, but prose is still a form of poetry. It's just a matter of personal preference.

Kuroi; The use of a 'mask' to hide behind is very overused for a subject of poetry. How are you going to make this one different from all of the rest?

Very nicely written, nice imagery. The only thing that's missing is a rhyming scheme or meter of some sort to make it flow a little more like a poem and less like prose.
