• I'm on my knees,
    my breath is weak,
    you close your eyes,
    and begin to speak.
    Your words pour out,
    as my tears slide down,
    you begin to shout,
    and i hear no sound.
    As you curse and scream,
    there's no end,
    it seems.
    I cry out in pain,
    as you say my name in vain,
    the it all just
    stops.
    I stand up,
    you look down,
    I walk to you,
    smooth out your frown.
    My last tear rolls down my face,
    as i kiss your lips,
    breathe in the taste.
    Then i turn around,
    with my heart in pieces,
    i hear you behind,
    saying something
    meaningless.
    Heaving broken sobs,
    I walk out the door.
    My friend asks a year later,
    does anyone make you feel like he did?
    I close my eyes,
    my voice broken,
    He was all i ever wanted,
    just not what i needed.
