Child of Time, son the the blood-stained sky
To carry alone the burden of the Lost
What fleeting images of Life were by your side
As your endless journey yearned to taste their deaths?
The Companion of Love
Beautiful and kind; a gentle touch to stoke the flames
'Till the fragilest of hearts was shattered
Claimed by the pain that only star-crossed lovers can feel
The Companion of Bravery
Strong-willed and courageous; to lift the dying man to his feet
But the dutiful have yet but one true duty
And the bonds that tie families together cannot be matched
The Companion of Truth
Noble in name and blood; seeing past the cunning words
Even as the curtain falls, and Truth is draped with Lies
To protect what they shared, the truth will be lost to all but the Timeless one
The feeble Companions of Life wither away to dust
In the effort to escape nothing, nothing is all that is left
But for the final Companion, the constant Companion
That is Loneliness, the only true friend of Time

Description:
Doctor Who inspired, of course. Each of the companions represents the Doctor's companions in turn, and how he was separated from them.

This is brilliant! And it was put up on my birthday.. very appropriate biggrin
It reminds me of the phrase "A race against Time." That sounds a bit like life itself, doesn't it? No matter how hard or how fast one runs, Time always catches up to us. Unless, of course, you're the Doctor. : ) Brilliant work. - Report As Spam
