• Description: A poem a wrote for a class project a few years back. When I refer to "Wolf" and "Eagle", I'm refering to "Humility" and "Love". I had alot on my mine when I was writing this. I am
I am the wolf and the eagle
I wonder what life would be like outside this cage called "Human Civilization"
I hear the cries of Mother Nature
I see the pain she is in
I want to help her, but can't
I am the wolf and the eagle

I pretend sometimes that I'm the heroine that saves the world and humanity from destruction
I feel the pain of the world
I touch the rosary when I hear of a death
I worry what will happen if we don't change the path we are on
I cry when Mother Nature cries
I am the wolf and the eagle

I understand the consequences of our actions
I say we must stop all the fighting
I dream of a world of peace where there is no disease or death
I try to see the brighter side of things, but that is getting harder to do
I hope we stop spinning out of control soon before all is lost
I am the wolf and the eagle

Wow, it touches on deep environmental issues as well as the loss of humanity in our world. It really touched me and i the first poem I have liked so much that I am going to favourite it. (Australian spelling of favourite, as I am aussie razz )
