I feel like I carry the world
With just one tiny string
A small miniscule thing
It could slip through my fingers
And come crashing through oblivion
Falling forever down
The woes begin to grow heavy
The string feels as if it could snap
And like my world, could break and shatter
Then I feel an aura
Coming steady toward me
It seems to be so warm
Still I stand there dead
But still alive
Letting everything engulf me
My fears, worries, and depression
Getting heavy in my hand
And slipping through my fingers
Then he wraps his arms
Gently around my waist
He tilts my head up gently
Until my eyes meet his
He strokes my long hair
That had used to be so soft
He looked at my lips
Which have yet to smile
He looks at my eyes
Which have ceased to shine
He caresses my cheek
His hand then trail to mine
He helps me lift everything up
My burden of woes
Fears, depression and darkness.
He hold me close and helps to carry my burden
My world slowly returns
To what it had been
As he helped me let go
Of everything pulling me down
He smiled at me
And I smiled back
Returned to my normal self
For now my sun shined
And my protector was holding me close
Reminding me always
He was there
To help me with my burdens
And to be with me
In my world.
In his world.
In our world.
