A confusing facade, blue or red?
Is she here or is she dead?
A fraying tapestry, threads
of lies. Surprise.
She isn't there.
Assume only a ghost is here.
Listened to the domestic law
But a playground within a prison calls
Unreachable, towering walls
of stone. She's alone.
Plucked not clipped.
Flightless in the deepest rift.
Too fast, too fast, she longs to stay
Among her toys and games to play
Displaced, dragged out of yesterday
and planted. Slanted.
A crooked joke.
The acorn's better than the oak.
The reflection's smiling a real smile
Leaving the rest of the world beguiled
But reality has bled onto the tiles
and vanity. Insanity.
A faker's dream.
Forever trapped in a silent scream.
Walls are walls, a roof is there
Courageous innocence replaced by fear
What have you become? My dear
You've conformed. Transformed.
You hopeless fool.
Are rocks no longer precious jewels?
Too late now, your name's been signed
Engraved upon the dotted line
Concreted here until you die
of sorrow. Tomorrow.
What a waste.
Slowed to a halt in your haste.
