• I struggled in the cold water waiting for some one, any one to save me. I was looking death straight in the face, it's horrible eyes cuttting through my soul.
The waves kept coming over me, sweeping me under the water. I needed air. How good that sounded to me and my struggling soul.
Finally my world went black to end the struggling. The struggling that never seemed to end until now. My body had collapsed in the subfreezing-temperature water. I thought I was dying, that my young life was failing me so soon. I don't want to die! Little did I know that a greater fate awaited me.
My savior was carrying my tiny body toward the shore, my head cradled in her arms, my feet dangling over her strong arms that had lifted me from death. Lifted me from slow, painful death.
She saved my life and I am forever in debt to my unknown savior.
