Never-Ending Battle
The past few years have been quite tough,
Things I’ve gone through, it’s more than rough,
More than once I’ve wanted to quit,
Two sides of me arguing, what a fit!
So far I’ve made it, with minimal damage,
My emotions are drained, for happiness, I’m Famished,
I try to be strong and keep Lots of defenses,
Use necessary precautions, and my common senses.
Two halves of me arguing, a never-ending battle,
Sometimes I tire, from the Ceaseless prattle,
I’ll never enjoy this solution-less fight,
All alone in the darkness, black, forever night.
Sometimes I feel as though one side has won,
Then the other attacks, and away goes my fun,
Cowardly hiding, tucked away in a corner,
Cleverly disguised, the frightening, the Horror.
Eventually I’ll be struck, fall to the ground, cry,
But I need to be Strong, stand Tall, have Pride,
Nobody can beat me; I’ll fight till the end,
You can try all you want; it’s your fate you condemn.
