I love this time of year. I know I complain a lot. It's true... sorry about that. It's just a lot easier to complain than explain. Look out the window. Yeah... not much to see... Think of this with me, just a quick second. Close your eyes. This is my Spring...
A light wind ruffles the trees. You hear a snapping off in the distance. You hear two people you can't see laughing. The wind runs through the tree's barren branches. They whisper their excitement of April.
There's grass in front of you. I'm from California. Grass doesn't reappear in California. It never disappears under a cold, hard, unkind, unforgiving shell of snow and ice. It just sits. Utah gives it a little bit of a sweetness. When you see green for the first time in months. You can feel for it. It shimmers in the sunlight. The mountains glow a warm orange and for the first time in months, the mountain tops glow. Have you ever noticed that? The last of the winter shines on top of those mountains and it just burns a hole right through you. You can feel it. You can feel the chill in the wind and the warmth and love from the sun. You can feel the tender grass under your feet. You can feel the budding flowers, the rich earth, the end of the long winter.
In this war of seasons, never will you see Winter sweetly submit to Spring. Never will Summer relinquish its power to Fall without a terrible battle of tempest. Summer will strike again the moment the cloudy sentinels prevail over the skies and all will be baked once more. The Spring must stand and fight for its place beside Winter now. The cold stings and returns its blows with all the strength allowed it. Frozen winds leave their mark upon this powerful opponent. In the end Spring will win out. The fight will end and rain will fall. The rain will fall and the sun will glow again.
That is why I love the Spring. It's like we won. We won a war that apparently you didn't know we were fighting.

Description:
This is what Spring means to me. I capitalize all seasons even if I shouldn't. They seem more reasonable to me if they have emotions. I don't know why... Please comment! ^_^
