The moonlight streaks across your face
Whisper to the stars
Out of the galaxy
Into the night
Flying across the stars
They call to you
You serenade them in their grace
They twinkle and twirl against the black canvas of the night
The moon shimmers against the black lake of the night
The fireflies twist and dance about
The beach is cold and wet
It moves with the water
A serene dance of the waves
They lap and kiss the darkness of the night
The green and ebony trees contrast the dancing waves
In a way so great
That only the true mountaineer can grasp
The beauty of the night
