The storm was wild and windy,
Waves crashed,
Rain lashed,
Her hair was blown into the knots
That framed her pearly face.
The sky was her horror, her hell,
A knife flashed,
Her skin gashed,
A singled blood tear ran down her damp cheek,
To tell of the sorrow, of all that was her.
The clouds were gray above her,
Lightning slashed,
Glass smashed
And fell in crystals ‘round her.
Colder than the rain that froze on her skin,
The widow of winter waited for dawn.

- Title: Night in the rain
- Artist: lil pixy girl
- Description: This is a piece I wrote when messing around with assimilation. The entire poem is a metaphor, so don't take any of the things that happen in it for what they are as they symbolise something very real.
