Oh what a wonderous sight to see,
an angel in the window across from me.
Her hair flowing gold, her eyes so pure,
I felt like a fish hooked on a lure.
Her body so fluorishing, so strong, so divine,
her hands so soft had they been in mine.
I stare with a gaze that's hard to divide,
my chest was pounding with butterflies inside.
I always wondered, I wanted to know,
who was this masterpiece in the window.
So that night I slept under the full moon light,
trying to understand this beautiful sight.
The next morning I awoke with an idea in my head,
this very thought made my face turn red.
Tonight I shall go through the dark nights shadow,
and meet the woman behind the window.
I crept and I stepped trying not to make a sound,
untill I reached the door where the angel could be found.
I knocked on the door and heard not a peep,
was the girl in bed, her head gone to sleep?
I knocked once more and to my surprise,
a light flickered on, too bright for my eyes.
An elderly woman appeaered at the door,
I told her of the girl I had seen once before.
With a sorrowful voice she told me in dread,
" My boy, she has been 80 years dead."
My heart grew heavy, my mind grew weak,
a lonely tear ran down my red cheek.
Even though my heart had a sadness in its wake,
I'd love to see that angel for one more time's sake.
