I'm sorry I started falling,
I know you think I'm appalling.
I just wanted to say,
I wish I could have stayed.

A distant friend I think is best,
Because it hurts to much the rest.
I'm so deeply under your spell,
But that you probably couldn't tell.

I opened myself up to you,
Knowing you didn't feel it too.
I laid out my heart,
Now I see it wasn't smart.

I do not know what to do,
My heart calls out for you.
This is for me no longer fun,
So all I know is to turn around and run.

While I did like the poem I agree with hey girl hey, I think the rhyming is hindering you! Poetry doesn't always have to rhyme! Try not rhyming so much and maybe your poetry will reach new heights!
