• Who cannot see the beauty of nature,
The emerald leaves, the crimson petals,
The azure waters, clear and crystal pure,
The deer that eat dandelions and nettles?
Who cannot love this project of our lord,
This precious gift from him to mankind?
Who would not protect it with spear and sword?
Who could e’er live, and not its glory find?
And yet its grace remains ever unseen
By those who from it take money and wealth,
And sacrifice this wondrous, lovely thing
Ruining our gift for their wallet’s health.
Take value not in human’s greedy green,
But value instead nature’s emerald tree.
