The small cat prowled through the night,
his cold blue eyes filling hearts with fright.
But the same blue eyes warm my heart,
because He’ll protect me with all of his.
I’ve come to know his soft touch and sweet kiss.
Now both put me in such bliss.
I know I’ve seen him differently.
I smiled as he whispered sweetly.
“I love you.”
But I’ve known this because I love you, too.
