I sit here, bleeding in my heart
Death stands in the doorway, waiting.
He calls me forth to visit him
And watch my life flash before my eyes.
There's a hole in my head that I can't fix.
A bit of grey-matter on the floor
And skull shards scattered about.
Do you think you can save me?
My body shakes in aches and pains
Telling me of the past
Warning me of the future
Keeping me in the present.
Can you save me?
Can I be saved...
This is love in my heart
And you'll never lose me.
My limbs have been ripped from me
My bleeding heart still beating.
To you I may be dead
To me, I'm still alive.
One last thing, before I leave.
There was a time when I did live.
In this instant, I woke up
And never did fall back again.

Description:
Well, I wrote this a year and a half ago, so I guess I'll copy and paste the original description I used on another site.
"Just a poem I wrote today (January 2, 2007). Was kind-of in a depressed mood, so I got to writing. I've been a bit creative in a sadistic way, and I needed to get it out of me.
Enjoy. " - Date: 07/20/2008
