My Little Quartz Pebble
I once found a beautiful little quartz pebble
So simple so small but so elegant in faceted beauty
A pebble of this cut surely is rare
I wanted this pebble to have and to hold
Because the brilliance of it's glitter was better than gold
As I reached into the water to claim this prize as mine
The water began to ripple and shine
And I lost my beautiful little quartz pebble to the sands of time
