Return to me my Gabrielle!
I miss you
i long for you
tu es ma mere*
your flowing red hair
will comfort me
just come for me!
i want you...
Jacquelyn! my little red head
Jacquelyn! you showed me the udead
now show yourself to me now!
come onto my stage, enter my cage
just show yourself to me now!
somehow you elude me
though I look so hard to find
by now I start to wonder
were you only in my mind
is it wrong of me
to want to see you?
is it so dumb
to want to love you?
come to me... my Gabrielle
come to me... my Gabrielle
Return to me my Gabrielle!
[In my dreams I hold her still
Angel, Lover, Mother
and in my dreams I kiss her lips
Mistress, muse, daughter
she gave me life
I gave her death
my beautiful Marquise
and on the Devil's Road we walked
two orphans together!
and does she hear my hymns tonight
of kings and queens and ancient truths
of broken vows and sorrows
or does she climb some distant path
where rhyme and song cant follow?
come back to me my Gabrielle
my beautiful Marquise
the castle's ruined on the hill
the village lost beneath the snow
but you are mine forever]
Return to me my Gabrielle!
beautiful
truely innocent
evil
yet magnificent
lovely
in the moonlight as she kills
lonely
ripped apart against my will
Blood! heal my wounds
Blood! under the moon
Death! can never touch us
Death! was left behind
now show yourself to me now
come into my hell, we'll scream and we'll yell
just show yourself to me now!
Return to me my Gabrielle
Return to me...
Return to me...
my...love

Description:
it's a song I wrote due to the loss of a good friend. It was inspired by Anne Rice's books: The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned
so part of the lyrics were writen by Rice and I'll need to get her permission
before releasing this song.(Rice's lyrics in brackets)
I know someone will ask this so here: Jacquelyn is the name of my friend but if you've read those books I mentioned, you'd understand the symbolism of the name Gabrielle
*the french part means "you are my mother" - Date: 07/16/2008

If it is lyrics, then you might want to consider working out some meter. It's a little rough and I feel it lacks musicality.
However, the imagery is great. Lines like
"and does she hear my hymns tonight
of kings and queens and ancient truths
of broken vows and sorrows"
are smart and powerful. - Report As Spam

- it isnt really a fade out(though i can see why u'd think that)hat was a lack of judgment in how i typed it but the "..." is supposed to show spaces between the words. it does quiet tward the end but the beat kicks up a a drum solo after the word love

that's an amazing song. I would have to say that the part with the castle is my favorite part in your lyrics. def. a 10.

- Could have had a better ending. I think having it fade out kind of took away the punch of the entire song. Otherwise, good job.
