It's not 'Aliens' when YOU can't figure it out;
And it's degrading to the ancient people who did figure it out, and put in the effort, intelligence, and manpower to make it.
People think that ancient buildings such as the Egyptian Pyramids, Mayan Temples, Stonehenge, the Nazca Lines, ect were built with 'Alien' help - and I call bullshit. They can be explained with a little research and critical thinking.
*Will edit as I learn more techniques
Moving Heavy Stones:
Egyptians: Great Pyramids
1.) Pouring water in front of the the rock and pulled it on the wet ground which made it far easier to gain traction.
2.) Built ramps that were be used to slide stone up and down.
3.) Used a complex system of pulleys and rope to lift large rocks.
Easter Island Statues:
1.) Used logs which they rolled heavy stones on, putting the last log in the front to keep it going.
2.) Used sled-like tools and ladders to roll the rocks along them.
3.) The shape of unfinished statues—with their forward-leaning bellies and D-shaped bases—would have allowed people to rock a statue from side to side as it tipped forward.
Stonehenge:
1.)Used logs which they rolled heavy stones on, putting the last log in the front to keep it going.
2.) Used sled-like tools and ladders to rolls the rocks; Once the rock started to tip it could more easily be kept moving with little effort.
Chinese: Angkor Wat Temple:
1.) Carved the stone during the dry season, [they] would have concentrated more on carving the blocks and assembling them; And possibly moved them during the rainy season/winter when they could get better traction from the icy and wet ground/mud.
2.) Rolled the stones on wooden rollers for short distances, the archaeologist explained. A system of scaffolding, levees, and pulleys likely enabled the Khmer to position the blocks while constructing their temples
Cutting Huge Rocks:
Egyptians: Great Pyramids: Graphite & Limestone
1.) Used an old chiseling and hammer technique which could easily cut a huge rock down the middle.
Greeks/Romans: Marble
1.) Saws were used; The marble is cut slowly and with a constant feed of oil/olive oil or water to wash away the grit and to prevent overheating/stress on the blade.
1.) Split with wooden wedges that are inserted along a shallow cut then soaked with water so that they evenly expand-fracturing the marble into large sheets.
Shaping Huge Rocks:
Egyptians: Graphite/Limestone
1.) Used a chemical sanding process.
2.) Used molding tools to form blocks onsite.
Greeks/Romans: Marble
1.) Slabs were sanded.
