• It was Dec.20, 2006
    a day she will never forget
    she found someone she loved and she was happy
    the twinkle in her smile nothing like before
    he smiles at her so happy and careless like nothing in the world
    both feeling like children in this world

    they were happy
    some arguments in the begining
    him being worried alot for her
    the world outside so horrible and cold
    she trying to be herself
    and not getting her way

    months passed and it stayed the same
    he joined the army
    she cried
    he told her"not to worry i will return to you, dont you worry"
    she cried seeing him driving away with many other soldiers
    he cried silently in his shirt not knowing what to expect in days to come
    and being seperated from the one that he loves

    little calls here and there thru the next year
    saying i love you knowing one day they will be
    reunited

    a month passed and he was sent to iraq
    no word just silence
    she crying next to the phone
    as he tried to stay alive

    her friend called her every day cheering her up
    making her smile
    making her feel loved again
    knowing someone cared
    even though she pushed everyone away

    months passed and they didnt speak
    she fell for someone else
    she was happy and childish like before
    as he layed in the sand still trying to stay alive

    on the day he returned
    he smiled knowing he would reunite with his love
    they saw each other face to face once more
    as he saw another man holding her

    the words thay said
    hurts anyone to their soul
    heart or no heart
    it leaves scars
    the yelling
    " i dont love you anymore"
    the tears in his eyes

    the pain in each others voice as tears fell
    they seperated and he tried to move on
    they tried to forget
    the love they had
    and the love they shared with each other

    he returned to iraq on april 6 2009
    as bullets rushed passed his head
    not knowing if he would live or die
    a bullet struck him in his lung from a sniper
    scared his life flashed before his eyes
    realizing that the years he spent with her were the happiest
    time in his life
    she cried in her sleep from the pain in her heart
    having the same flashback in her mind

    they both cried as he blacked out
    a week later on april 13 2009
    she got a home visit from his sargent
    she fell to her knees crying
    feeling her heart leave her
    she felt alone unlike she had before
    the words he said
    "he is in critical condition, i will take you to him"
    send chills down her body
    she cried the whole way there

    she saw him and cried apologising as he did the same
    as they screamed "i love you"
    tears turned into a smile
    as he asked her to marry him

    as to this day they are together
    they havent left each others side


    this story has shown me alot
    and i hope it has shown you alot too

    as i wrote this i could let tears fall down onto my hands
    praying my life would turn into this
    one may hope
    and pray

    and the words that i whisper into the air for the one i love
    "i miss you "
