In life I don’t know what is going to happen, but I know something will. I hope something will, because, if nothing happens, why should life go on? Why were we even born in the first place? If nothing happens on earth where we were born, what are we going to do with ourselves? But then, if we weren’t put on this earth, who else would come to enjoy its splendor?
There is already a massive controversy about if space holds any more life other that us, and although we may have found some ice caps on Mars, and one of Jupiter’s moons may or may not be able to sustain life, that doesn’t mean that outer space holds any other life. So if I take that side of the argument, there wouldn’t be anyone else to come to earth and enjoy its diversity and beauty. But what would happen if I were to take the other side of this story, the other side of the argument?
What if there were others out there, would they come, and give us the excitement that we as homo-sapiens strive to have. We as a race are addicted to adrenalin, so from and early age, we are telling ghost stories to our friends around a campfire. And although you may not seem to like it, somewhere, deep in your subconscious you are begging for the fear and excitement that is produced with these stories. You may just be making them up as you go along, but as long as it produces some spook, you are listening.
But do you believe in life other than us out there? The thought of there being no one else out there makes you feel really lonely doesn’t it? Even with the 2.8 billion some odd people we are alone if you take that look. But what if there was other life out there and they came to earth, what would you do? We make up all of these stories (myths and legends if you want to be more precise) about aliens, and vampires, and sea monsters and the like, and we are all fascinated by them. We want them to be real, but at the slightest moment there is a risk that they are real, we run and deny that we ever made those stories.
But if you don’t now what to believe, then you should look at some thing like this. What if we were the aliens and the aliens are the one who are like “What if they come and find us and take over our planet? We have to make a military so that we can destroy them!” Have you ever thought about how violent we are? Maybe we are the aliens. We are the ones exploring space, not them. They are probably hiding from us, hiding their very presence form us so we don’t find them. They are probably smarter and have more and better technologies than us. And the thought of there being another world out there that is stronger than we are scares us. And I hope, one day, everyone else in the world realizes this too.

- I have thought of stuff like this a lot, and I agree for the most part. But what I'm getting out of the second paragraph is that the reason for our supersticious thoughts are because we are lonely...witch is where i disagree. I believe the reason for that is that we are not content with the simple life put in front us...It has been lived already and we want to live our own lives and see things that are told in fairy tales.
