• this had a huge effect on my grandfather.my grandmothers causin died on day. she called her causen her sister because they were so close. my grandfather knew the causen bafore he met my grandmother. they were all very close with each other.through her cousen my grandfather met my grandmother.so digna (my grandma) went to live with iris(her causen) and my grandfather sam went on a date with digna. after a year they got married. the sad thing is that when they got married iris and digna were not talking with each other. so she didn't come to the wedding. my grandfather was sad about that.when my grandmother was about 6 monthes pregnant... her cousen died of an illegal abortion preformed by a friend. she used a COAT HANGER! in order to break the new to my grandmother he had to calll the docter and get her sedated so she could stay calm. my grandfather had to go and buy the dress so siris could be barried in. when he got to the funeral home and saw her in the coffen with the dress that he bought he just busted out in tears. he couldn't stop crying. one thing was that she was very beautiful. all he kept saying was "why, why, why". the saddest part of it all was that she left 4 children without a mother at the age of 26. and the kids were never raised together. they havn't seen each other in years. when my mother was born they decided to name her after the cousen iris.
