"Even after all this time
The Sun never says to the Earth
"You owe me."
Look
What happens
With a love like that,
It lights the whole sky.” -Hazif

Long ago, the earth was ruled by Gods and Goddesses, and the different elements of the world took godlike form. The earth was lush and ethereal; like heaven, pure and untarnished. The Moon was beautiful beyond compare, but she was a solitary creature. The Sun on the other hand was fiery and rebellious, large as life itself. Sitting alone in a tree, the Moon contemplated the mysterious of the heavens. Beneath her the Sun approached, he was mesmerized by her beauty. He approached her, and they quickly fell in love. They were like yin and yang, the The Moon was warmed by the Suns' presence, and the Sun was humbled by the Moons' demeanor. The Fay's (whom were stars close to the sun in their natural element) could sense the earth changing, she rumbled and groaned. The Fay's knew their time on earth was over, that soon humans would live on the earth. They tore the Sun away from his love, reminding him of his duties. The moon wept tears of moonbeams. Before they left, the sun gave a piece of himself to the moon. He told her "So that even when we are not together you will have a piece of me with you, to light up the night sky so that I may gaze upon your beauty". When the elements reverted, 3 times a year the Sun and Moon were allowed to embrace. Now to this day they we call it a solar eclipse, their love and passion lighting up the sky; the moon embracing the sun.
