Red and her mother strode side by side along the dusty path. Overhead, owls began to enter their tree hallows, for the sun was beginning to rise; the little brown birds began carrying twigs for their nests, and the branches continued to sway.
Mother had brought with them a bunch of apples carefully stacked one on the other in a medium-sized basket. Red offered to carry it, so that she may keep an apple or two, besides, it would be easy to hide it behind her red coat. Now Red decided to carry on with her petty plan and she waited for mother to walk ahead. Then, this plan which is easier said than done, turned out unfortunately: the apples fell as soon as it touched Red's fingers.
"Oh, I know what you are trying to do, Red," her mother sighed, "Go on and pick that up."
The stunned girl began to do as she was tolod. Her mother always seems to have eyes at the back of her head. "Sorry, mother."
"Now you don't worry, my dear Red," she told her, "I will prepare a better feast for you when we get home."
The two continued to walk, now side by side once again. The tall shadows of the trees served as good shade, as the sun was beginning to rise. Everything was peaceful and serene, which made Red sway her arms as she skipped along with the gushes of wind.

Description:
Ok, guys. This isn't like the Red Riding Hood book turned movie or the old bedtime story. This is the chapter one of a current novel I am doing. I know, I know. The way I write it is really 'un-detailed' and that's because I didn't have much time to write.
So I hope you guys comment and rate. It'd help me very much.
