• Chapter 5:Surprised Again

    I walk up to the door slowly, and hesitated to open it. I finally did with her little encouraging urges going on in my head. I walked in and looked around. It sounded like nobody was home.
    “Hey I have someone I would like you to meet” I shouted. My younger brother Mike, who was actually only a year younger than me walked in. His eyes got huge and so did Nicole’s.
    “Mike” said Nicole surprise. I got extremely confused.
    “You two know each other?” I asked.
    “Long story” said Nicole as she turned to me.
    “Man what has it been two years?” asked Mike.
    “Three” said Nicole.
    “Wait you’ve known each other for three years?” I asked getting more and more confused my the second.
    “Four actually, we just haven’t seen each other in four” said Nicole.
    “How?” I questioned.
    “He doesn’t know about you Mike you sneaky brat you” said Nicole.
    “Nope I’ve kept it hidden pretty well” said Mike with a smile.
    “Kept what hidden?” I questioned.
    “This” said Mike as he transformed in front of me. Whoa, my brother was a vampire. Well I guess that explains why he would be gone for weeks sometimes months at a time. Just telling us that he was sick of us and staying at a friends. That would also explain why when he was home he would sneak out at night. He then transformed back into his human state. Nicole ran over and gave him a hug, almost tackled him to the floor.
    “Sorry” she said as she let go.
    “It’s cool Nik Nik” said Mike.
    “Oh my I haven’t heard that nickname in forever” said Nicole.
    “How did you to meet?” I asked slightly jealous of my brother. Nicole picked up on my mood quickly.
    “Don’t worry he asked me out a long time ago, and if I denied him then I will most certainly deny him again” said Nicole with a smile.
    “It‘s true bro she’s not into me even though I think she’s smokin hot” said Mike. Nicole bursted out into giggles. I sighed to myself.
    “Where’s mom and dad?” I asked.
    “Sleeping, you just missed a huge fight” said Mike.
    “Again?” I asked.
    “Yep, good thing you weren’t here, you would of lost it” said Mike.
    “Probably” I said.
    “What to you want to do while we wait?” asked Nicole.
    “Tell me this story on how you guys met” I said getting kind of curious.
    “Ok, fine by me” said Nicole.
