Origins ~ A Mad Fiasco
Long ago, there was nothing but cold darkness.
Then traces of earth came together, creating a land of rocky terrain, and fire spurted violently out of crevices, dancing flames covering the surface of the land. Sparks flew and molten magma slithered its way down the mountainous regions.
The appearance of the first trickles of water extinguished the vibrant fires that covered the land, causing smoke and steam to billow and rise off of the surface of the land. These trickles gathered into rivers, then larger masses, turning the dry, cracked land into mud.
Life was finally able to sprout and burst its way out of the barren soil. The buds of the flowers grew and bloomed into tiny flowers, and grass slowly reached across the land and left a path of green. With this manifesto, the twittering of birds became present, and the chattering chipmunks scampered up the newly grown trees. At night, the cicadas, frogs, and grasshoppers formed a symphony of croaking and chirping. Waterfalls and small ponds were found amidst the ferns and tall grasses, where animals could be seen frolicking together. All the world was at peace.
Then lightning struck, bringing its old friend back to life. Fire blazed across the land once again, sputtering with bitterness and rage. The wind blew the fire in all directions, aiding its spread across the ravaged land. But with lightning also came rain, which fought to preserve the life which had once been abundant and alive. And so came about a raging war, from which another creature was born again.
Chaos.
