I walked into the forest past the dull grey trunks of the dead trees. It may have been spring but these trees were always dead. The sun shone through the sickly branches and finally I got to the patch of flowers. It looked like something from a dream, the aroma of flowers, petals floating around the patch and a small pond in the middle. I sat down next to the pond and sang.
"Gone is the madness from the weary forest, come children play in the meadow but be warned be warned the wind is more savage then it seems." My voice hanging in the air, echoing through the trees.
"The warnings are clear. When they show you must go. For the wind is more savage then it may seem." My voice trailed off again. A slight breeze came by, throwing millions of petals into the air. I continued the song. The petals flying around me as the wind picked up.
"All gone is the madness, but be warned if you make your stay too long.. the wind is more savage than the petals may show.." I looked down at my hands that started to melt away into a bunch of petals.
"Gone is the madness...and also your soul.."
THE END
