• "Meet me here after 8 years, Shane," as his tears strolled down. He can't afford to lose me but still he endured all the pain. We were at the soft drinks booth inside the school near the school gate. It was almost midnight. "Don't go, Shawn. You're a very good friend to me. You can't just leave me alone in this academy. I can't take it! You're my family I have known."
    His eyes were full of melancholy and despair. He held both of my hands and said, "I'll be right here even if I'm not around."
    Shawn and I were friends since elementary. At first, we hate each other just like cats and dogs do. Almost everyday we quarrel. We even got to the Headmaster's Office. He had his own set of friends and I have mine too. as time goes by, our friends began to leave one by one until the last cards are left: me and Shawn.
    I was an orphan girl. Both of my parents died in an accident when i was only 3 years old. My grandfather took custody for taking care of me but I never felt his love nor seen his face. My grandfather is the CEO and president of a certain institute: the Schifane Academy. It is a large school though and have 15 branches throughout the globe. I'm studying in the main campus.
    The headmaster is my grandfather's only brother. I was given special treatment compared to my schoolmates but was treated fair in terms of grades. He even assigned Shawn as my special School Buddy to keeptracks of my grades.He acted as my older brother.
    "Shawn,I beg you. Don't leave me here. My parents are gone. My grandfather was never there. The headmaster doesn't even care. You're the only one left here with me," as I mumbled those words with grief. " I can't let you get messed up with that evil woman, Shane. If I'll stay with you, your life will be at stake."
    "Why are you so tied-up with that witch?! She's not even related to you!!!" I screamed. He embraced me. For all of my life, I've never felt this safe before.
    "Stop crying now. I don't want to go like this. I'll come back. Be a good girl. okay?" he touched my head. "Why do you have to go away, Shawn!?"
    "He stood as the gate opened and the black car stopped right where we are. "It's time," as he wiped his tears. I stood too. He pulled me to him and hugged me so much tighter than before. He whispered the words that changed my world and thoughts forever.

    "I love you, Shane. I love you so much. Sorry, I kept this from you but I can't help not to deny it until now."

    My arms went limp...

    "Goodbye, Shane." he kissed my forehead and went inside the car... and left.
